Carol Parsons Aronovici was a make-up artist, costumer, actor, set designer, and owner of Stagecraft Studios in Berkeley, California (opened circa 1928, closed November 2011). He married Joyce K. Oliver in 1949, who was also a costumer and actress.
The Company of the Golden Hind was founded in 1951 by the director, Rachmael ben Avram. It was named in honor of Sir Francis Drake's ship, the Golden Hind, which carried a troupe of actors to help entertain the crew on their voyage to northern California.
