Olson's gubernatorial campaigns, Truman's 1948 campaign, James Roosevelt's 1950 California gubernatorial campaign. Robert Clifton: The Democratic Party, Culbert L. Olson, and the Legislature. Comments also on Upton Sinclair's gubernatorial campaign, 1934, and his work as administrative advisor for director of finance in Olson's administration. Roger Kent: A Democratic Leader Looks at the Warren Era. Comments also on his unsuccessful campaigns for Congress in 1948 and 1950 and his chairmanship of Democratic party, northern California, 1954-1965. George E. Outland: James Roosevelt's Primary Campaign, 1950. Comments on his work as statewide campaign manager.
