The collection is comprised of reports of farm advisory projects relating to San Diego County.

In 1915, the University of California established a branch of the Cooperative Agricultural Extension in San Diego. Affiliated with the County of San Diego, and the US Department of Agriculture, the Cooperative conducts educational programs through individual consultation, meetings, farm and home demonstrations, field tours, industrial and governmental relations, newsletters, and the news media.
