Abstract:
George Edwin Burnell (1863-1948) was a religious educator, and an authority on metaphysical subjects and sacred literature. Mimeographed transcripts of his lectures sold well enough to go into multiple editions. He was also the president and director of the California Irrigated Farms Company and San Joaquin Farms Company, and a member of the Jonathan Club. The collection consists of several hundred typewritten reports of lectures given by Burnell and his wife Mary Lamoreaux Burnell. Lecture titles include “Experience,” “Intellect,” “Healing,” “Wealth,” and “Virtue.”
