Abstract: The Italian World War I Collection (1914-1922, bulk 1914-1919), consists of English translations of several Italian newspapers
and speech transcriptions from the Italian Senate; the upper house of the Italian legislature. The newspapers and speech records
detail Italy's involvement in World War I and provide a historical context to understand the rise of the Nationalist Fascist
Party led by Benito Mussolini following the Treaty of Versailles. The Senate records primarily represent individual responses
to Atti degli Camera, Deputy Senator from Rome. The collection is arranged into two series: Series I: Italian Newspapers,
1914-1922 (bulk 1914-1919); Series II: Italian Senate, 1914-1918.
