Abstract:
This collection comprises printed materials, primarily dance programs, documenting significant international dancers, dance companies, festivals, performances, and events. The bulk of this collection comprises materials on 20th century American and European ballet performers and companies, such as the American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Russes and related companies. The collection also contains dance programs documenting world and folk genres, and international dance styles, primarily Indian, Japanese, and Spanish. A small group of printed ephemera documents various dance festivals, dance companies, and individuals such as Isadora Duncan, George Balanchine, Mary Wigman, and others.
