The grassroots Chicano theater group, Teatro Cometa, was founded in 1979 and was active throughout 1980s in and around Fullerton, California. Embodying "Rasquachismo," Teatro Cometa endeavored to use their art as a teaching tool, to educate people about significant issues within their community.
